FAQ’s about my magazine style photoshoot…
Since launching my photography business online at the start of 2020, I have received a lot of people interested in wanting to know more! Which is bloody awesome. From the chats over the last few months, I have seen a few of the same questions crop up so I have decided to compile my most frequently asked questions into one blog post!
How long is the photography session?
The photography sessions will differ depending on what package you opt for.
The shortest package I offer is Professional Headshots. These usually take around 15-20 mins per person and we can book to photograph a number of your colleagues.
Next up, is a Personal Branding session. This can be anything from 1-3 hours depending on hair and makeup, outfits and if separate locations are required just add an hour per location ie. in an office area, catering areas, general work location etc.
Finally is my Signature Magazine Style Photoshoot, with a full hair and makeup transformation this shoot could be from 2.5-4 hours depending on how many outfits you wanted to wear (normally 2-4).
Will I need to bring my own makeup?
My photo sessions have complimentary hair and makeup which means you will not need to bring your own products along. However, if you would like to bring your own makeup, or wish to complete your own makeup beforehand this is not a problem The same applies for hairstyling too. I want to ensure you feel as comfortable as possible to create amazing photographs.
(ps. Due to Covid-19 there are restrictions for makeup artists at the moment but we should know soon - we can go over options when you contact me)
What clothing options will I need to bring?
In the first consultation, we will go over what you want to wear and focus on understanding the purpose of your images to ensure we select the right outfit choices for you to bring with you.
A good place to start is the classics, a good pair of jeans and a crisp white t-shirt, tailored shirt or black polar neck. An unstructured jacket can add another layer for the men or a blazer for a more formal portrait.
Keep to colours that compliment your natural eye, hair and skin colour and stay away from patterns and strong colours, remember we don’t want to overpower that beautiful face of yours. (For more information on styling check out my Style Guide blog post with Sandra from Style with Sandra)
What facilities are at your studio, ie toilet, changing room?
The facilities and standard of them were key when setting up my studio. We have a client only area for those outfit changes and toilet available.
Our cleanliness is next to Godliness as we ensure all surfaces are wiped down and made safe between each client. (see out guidelines on re-opening with Covid-19 restrictions)
How long after the shoot is the image viewing?
After our photoshoot you will be asked back to your private viewing session to see your professionally finished photographs. This is usually 7 to 14 days later (depending on availability)
There is no hard sale, any of the photographs you like, you can buy. It is my job to make sure that you love them all.
Ps. If you are unable to come in person to the studio we can set up a Zoom/Skype session to choose your images, but obviously you won’t be able to take them home with you straight away. Deliveries take another 7-14 days.
How many people can you have in one photo session/ image viewing?
If you are coming to the studio for your viewing session then I ask if you can bring a maximum of two people with you to ensure social distancing.
I go over the viewing session with you in the consultation before the photoshoot to discuss products and prices.
I only ask if you are bringing someone with you to the viewing session that they have also had the consultation information and know the value of what the photoshoot experience and your images mean to you.
Do you offer finance options on your images?
If you are unable to pay for your chosen photographs during my sales session, then I do have other options available.
We can discuss and set-up a series of payments over a chosen time period that we can both agree on; but obviously you would not be able to take any products home until all payments are paid in full.
It is also common that some of my clients use vouchers that they were gifted to use to pay for their images.
These make for a great Christmas, Birthday or Special Occasion Gift. Vouchers are available to purchase in increments of £100 simply message me for more details email@example.com
